NEWSPAPER SNIPPETS. NLA NEWSPAPERS.

My grandmother, JESSIE SARAH READY ( BELL) and her family  were resident in LITTLE YOUNG STREET REDFERN. i shall confirm the dates later but we were told the house was under where the Greek Orthodox Church now stands. The time in Redfern was late 1800s to early 1900s. I have found a few snippets as background for the times.

    1. Hi James, Thank you for that. I realised I had written the wrong street and then didn’t get round to correcting it. Shall take a look at yr blog posts now. Happy New Year to you. I would like some time in Sydney to take a good look about it. Yrs Lynne.

  1. Hi Lynne

I’ve been meaning to mention for sometime since first looking at your site,
I have a Sanders North Coast connection, though I’m not sure if there’s a
    link.

My sister was married to Ray Hyland for many years. His sister, Vonnie
(that’s what we called her, though I can’t remember if that’s her real name)
was married to a Sanders in Lismore. I remember one of the sons, also Ray,
    was about my age.

Anyway, just wondering if the connection was there.

    James
