  1. My family lived on Fattorini Island from 1954 to 1974. These 20 years saw it used as a dairy farm with the milk being transported by twice daily collection by the milk boat to the Nestles factory at Smithtown.
    The island regularly flooded as was seen in recent times and photographed from the air, with publication in the Australian newspaper on June 16th 2011. Floods brought stinking mud which plagued our lives for weeks after the water receeded. The lifestyle afforded by living on the island was idyllic for a child with water very much part of our life, recreation and challenge.
