WIKI TREE FROM MARK ROGERS.

Hi Lynne – Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Just a short note to let you know I’ve decided to commit my family history info to http://www.wikitree.com/
I’d previously considered using the likes of Ancestry etc, but the idea of my info being locked away behind a paywall irritated me. Similarly, paying to host a site for myself seemed unsustainable. So the Wikitree seems like a better option – someone else maintains & manages the site & the info is freely available to all.
I’ve put some of the Bryce info up there – and was quickly contacted by a Pentland researcher from UK who I gather has already been in touch with you.
Have a look. If you are interested in adding to or building on to what I’ve put up so far, send me a request & I’ll add you to the trust group to manage pages.
(I’ve only put up basic info & narrative & a few photos – still to learn stuff like footnotes & citations.)
Cheers!
Mark Rogers
